Scira AI: Check the Sources Behind an AI Search Answer
Ask a bounded research question, inspect citations and turn an AI search response into a short, verifiable decision note.

An AI search engine can reduce the effort of finding sources, but a fluent answer still needs checking. Scira describes a research workflow that plans searches, reads sources and exposes citations. Give it a question narrow enough that you can verify the important claims yourself.
Ask for evidence you can inspect
A useful research prompt includes a decision and its constraints: “Compare three browser-based PDF editors for adding text to an existing file. Use current official sources, distinguish free export from free preview, and mark anything you cannot verify.”
Ask for the source date when freshness matters. A product announcement from an earlier release may describe a feature that moved to a different plan or no longer works the same way.
- Read the answer once for its overall recommendation.
- Open the source supporting each claim that could change your choice.
- Write down missing evidence or disagreements before deciding.
Check whether the citation supports the sentence
A real link is not enough. The page might support only part of a claim, describe a different plan or repeat another site’s summary. Prefer the maker’s documentation for supported features and pricing.
For a technical comparison, separate a documented limit from an observed performance result. If an answer says a tool is “faster,” look for the workload and measurement. Without those, retain the factual feature comparison and drop the unsupported ranking.
Finish with a short decision note
Keep the chosen option, the reason it fits, links to the decisive evidence and the unresolved tradeoff. This is easier to revisit than a long chat transcript.
Scira also supports connected apps through MCP. Research does not require connecting every account. If you use an action integration, review the destination and proposed change before approving a write. Its current pricing page describes plan limits; check those when planning repeated research runs.
