shipwithjev: Find a Decision-Model Example You Can Evaluate

Use Jev project examples to define a bounded decision, inspect the original implementation and design a small evaluation before building.

A project gallery is most useful when it reveals a pattern you can test. shipwithjev is a hand-sorted catalog of projects built with Jev, TypeSafe AI’s decision model. Entries link to original work across categories such as triage, agents and research. Use those links to understand what the model decides and what ordinary code still controls.

Look for the shape of the decision

Choose a task with a limited set of outcomes. A support message might become “billing,” “technical” or “needs a person.” That is easier to evaluate than an instruction to “handle all customer support.”

Browse the relevant category, then inspect the original repository or write-up. Identify the input, allowed outputs, fallback and place where the result affects the application.

  1. Write the exact decision in one sentence.
  2. List the allowed outcomes, including an uncertain or review-needed result.
  3. Find an example that makes a similar decision, even in a different industry.

Treat project numbers as reported results

A creator’s latency or cost figure describes their setup and workload. It does not establish what your application will spend or how accurately it will classify your inputs. Record the source and date when a number influences your shortlist.

Check whether the repository includes a runnable example, an evaluation set and failure handling. A compelling clip demonstrates a path through the product, but may not show ambiguous or unexpected inputs.

Build a small evaluation before an integration

Collect representative examples, including edge cases, and label the expected result yourself. Keep some examples out of the initial prompt-writing process so the final check is not just a rehearsal of familiar inputs.

Track the errors that matter most. Sending a harmless message for review costs time; silently misrouting an urgent request can have a larger consequence. Keep permissions, spending limits and irreversible actions in explicit application rules rather than allowing a model’s classification to grant itself authority.
